The 20 year Carroll High School Class Reunion was a hoot. Even the fella that abducted Tommy Danner and came in his place was very nice. :)

So much for moving on. Live Journal would probably be nice if you had blog software on your PC to do the updates...

The winter garden is finally producing. We had English peas last night and there are a bunch of collards and turnips for me to give to somebody (that image will be wrong soon enough, but it works at the moment).

Roses are blooming.

Time to move on...this site doesn't let you add comments of your own, so I'm going to
try livejournal.com. That way
you can comment on my comments, syndicate it to your own 'blog, and other stupid human
tricks.

Put this one in the got-to-have gadgets pile. Could you imagine watching the presidential debate with a pair of these glasses? A standalone unit perched atop the TV would be hilarious to watch. It's been years since the episode of Simon & Simon where the guy had a BS meter. I reckon we're living in the future...

Waitaminut...there's a version of the software for PocketPC called "Love Detector" that uses the same technology. Talk about the hit of the party. I may have to try this...

I was going to post an update tonight, not of anything family related, but just a cool engine related patent called a "planetary crankshaft". It'll have to wait. I've spent the last 2.5 hours chasing, scanning, and trying to get rid of a stupid virus on one of the computers on our network. Started at around 10pm. The software to get rid of it didn't show up here 'til 11pm. This virus spreads via e-mail and Kazaa. See http://www.techtv.com/news/securityalert/story/0,24195,3602245,00.html or for more info. http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_100983.htm#MethodOfInfection for more info. I'm going to bed now....

Erin called from Times Square last night. The band of merry tourists is overjoyed...at least one of them is...she said it was snowing too. It's a whopping 9d there now with an expected high of 11d (and windy!). *I* don't want to be where ice cream is too hard to dip when left outside. At least they're getting to see snow. Sondra is quite jealous. Me...notsomuch. :)

Linda spent a couple of days being nauseated (immediately after returning home from their trip) but she's getting better now. We're anxious to hear about this 11 day cruise in the Caribbean.

Then there's Alan...who's personally doing great, I assume, but he got notice from the University that they will not be able to hire him as a sports psychologist in any capacity. I can't post my response to that. I am more than a little bit bummed by this news. The brightest thought I can come up with is that Alan will find a better job at a place where his talents can be better appreciated anyway. I still need the therapy of a dull axe and a few trees to chop up.
